Today is post op day 9. Yesterday we were able to remove the honeycomb bandage which was nice because it was really pulling on my skin. I have been keeping it covered still but it’s nice to not have a ton of tap on me. That also means that I have now seen the wound and it’s a little scary to look at. 

As you can see above it is quite bruised but seems nice and closed. There has been a tiny amount of yellow discharge from the wound but a very very very tiny amount. A spec even. 

The incision must be 4 inches across, I haven’t measured but it is from one hip bone to the other. I am feeling a lot of like sharp pokey feelings in the area today which has been pretty uncomfortable despite taking regular amounts of Tylenol like I have the rest of most the days. 



On day 10 we went to the doctor, just the family doctor but he confirmed that the wound is healing well.
